The three-story, four bedroom, two-bath, 2,800-square-foot Alderson cabin features a heavy timber roof system, solid wood windows, 8” interlocking round Eastern White Pine logs, full-length front and back porches, a loft and a full finished basement.
Full-length porches flank the front and back of the Alderson custom floor plan. An open downstairs layout offers full access to the kitchen, dining and great room. A master bedroom encompasses a fill bath. The second floor features a loft that overlooks the great room.
This plan was conceived of and built by longtime Honest Abe Independent Dealers Mike Alderson and his late wife, Maria Alderson.
Shortly before she became ill, Maria shared the story of the cabin’s planning and building along with some of her memories of summers there with her children.
