- 2 strips bacon 3/4 lb. green beans, trimmed
- 1/2 cup low-sodium chicken broth
- Kosher salt and black pepper to taste
- Juice of 1/2 lemon
- 1/4 cup chopped walnuts
- Cook bacon in a sauté pan over medium-high heat until crisp, about 5 minutes. Remove bacon to a paper-towel-lined plate, keeping 1 Tbsp. bacon drippings in pan. Add beans to pan; sauté for 1–2 minutes.
- Add broth; simmer, covered, until beans are crisp- tender, about 10 minutes.
- Season beans with salt, pepper, and lemon juice. Toss beans with walnuts and crumbled cooked bacon before serving.
