Northwoods Gem

Runamuk Roost is a northwoods gem on Durphee Lake in northern Wisconsin’s Sawyer County. The cabin was built in the mid-1960s with handcrafted logs, while the stone for the foundation and fireplace came from a local quarry.

Added on Runamuk Roost has been added on to twice over the years. Part of the first addition included expanding the living space. Great care was taken to seamlessly blend new with old, to maintain the heritage and charm of the handcrafted log home.

Cozy warm by the fire On a chilly day, one can enjoy both the warmth of the fireplace and views of the lake. Hard to top that!
