Chili Dog Recipe

In my book, if there’s one hot dog that epitomizes greatness, it’s a chili dog. This is the granddaddy of them all.

Makes: 4 hot dogs
Total time: about 30 minutes
 
Grill; Serve with:
  • 4 natural casing hot dogs
  • 4 sliced hot dog buns, cut lengthwise through the top
 
INSTRUCTIONS:
  1. Preheat grill to medium-high.
  2. Grill hot dogs until heated through and lightly charred.
  3. Grill buns just until heated through and toasted.
  4. Serve hot dogs in buns with chili, mustard, and slaw.
 
Per hot dog with 1/4 cup each chili and slaw: 428 calories; 58% calories from fat; 28g total fat; 26g carb.; 1027mg sodium; 2g fiber; 21g protein
