Having a well-stocked bar means everyone can enjoy their favorite drink, but focusing the menu can infuse some new flavor into your happy hour tradition.
1. Mobilize.
Designate a skipper, and head out on the pontoon boat for a tour of the lake. Keep it simple with a signature cocktail.
2. Host a craft beer sampler.
Have each guest bring a 6-pack of their new favorite craft beer so everyone can try a sampling of brews.
3. Try a “blind” tasting party.
Choose a type of wine and have everyone bring a bottle in a brown bag so no one knows what vineyard it’s from. Write a number on each bag, and make a comment card with corresponding numbers for each guest. As you each try a pour of a given number, take notes. When everyone’s had a chance to sample, compare notes and decide on your favorites.
