Two Recipes for Mushroom Appetizers

When we asked our readers to submit their favorite holiday recipes, we received two very different mushroom appetizers. We couldn't choose between them, so we decided to share both. Here they are!

Mushroom Appetizer
This is great for a cocktail party! It never lasts no matter how I increase the recipe! Never fails. I even get calls for the recipe! Afterwards, you can save the juices for steaks or a roast. A big hit!

1 pound whole mushrooms ¼ cup butter, melted 2 tablespoons onions, choppped (can use more if you like) 1 clove garlic, chopped fine ½ teaspoon salt ½ teaspoon pepper ¼–½ teaspoons ground rosemary ¾ teaspoon Worcestershire sauce 1. Put mushrooms in a baking pan. Mix remaining ingredients together and pour the butter mixture over mushrooms. 2. Bake at 350°F for 40 minutes, stirring and turning every 15 minutes. 3. Put mushrooms in a decorative slow cooker to keep warm. Serve with crackers or by themselves.

Easy Marinated Mushrooms
I'm always asked to bring this to our holiday gathering (and other occasions). It is so easy!

1 pound butter 1 small package Good Seasons Italian Dressing dry mix 3–4 packages mushrooms, fresh and whole
Combine all ingredients in a Crock Pot and cook on high for about 1–2 hours, or until mushrooms have cooked down. |
