Asian-Inspired Picnic Food

Infused with layers of flavor, these light dishes are easy to pack up and take with you

Warm weather means it’s time to pack the picnic basket, grab a blanket and visit your favorite scenic spot (even if it’s just a few steps out your cabin’s back door). A picnic need not be complicated. In fact, simplicity is the essence of a good alfresco dining experience. This set of recipes is easy to make and avoids items like mayonnaise that really need good temperature control on warm days.

Be sure to check out your favorite roadside produce stands or your own cabin garden for ingredients. The sandwich recipe is just a starting point; feel free to top it with whatever fresh or pickled veggies you like.
Oh, and be careful – this food attracts aunts (and other family members, too)!
