By Julie Kuczynski
Published: April 11, 2013
The May 2013 issue of Cabin Life features a Puget Sound cottage with historical roots. As this Orcas Island getaway started to show its age, and a tree fell on it, Steve and Kathleen Byers managed to keep it in the family by renovating it for future generations to enjoy. The Byers family also shared these photos of their cabin lifestyle, and we're offering them to you as a web exclusive. Enjoy!

Unexpected events
