Photo by Cathy Strasser In the summer of 2000, my family fulfilled a long-standing dream and built our own log cabin. My husband and I and our two children (ages 9 and 12) were all eager for the adventure, little knowing what was in store over the next five months. The plan was to live in a pop-up camper on our land for the summer as we built. Yep, gluttons for punishment doesn’t even begin to describe it.
