Wildlife

Woodpecker Artwork

Published: September 27, 2010
Dear Cabin Life,

My wife and I have been avid readers of your magazine for many years. We have been truly blessed to be able to own our cabin on 120 acres of wooded land. We enjoy watching the abundance of wildlife that make our woods their home. Whitetail deer, wild turkeys, squirrels, rabbits and birds are just a few of our local residents.

This last February I had the rare opportunity to get a picture of the beautiful artwork left behind from a red-headed woodpecker looking for bugs. I thought your readers would enjoy his finished sculpture.
