Tag-along Party
Every Sunday, we take our pontoon over to the Tagalong Golf Resort, pull up to the dock and then sit back and enjoy the live music provided at The Pumphouse right by the shore. It’s a wonderful place to enjoy the relaxation of the lake, meet old and new (& young & old) friends, and just plain celebrate summer. – Carol DeYoung, Birchwood, Wis.

Extended Family Fun
My parents – who first came vacationing to Eagle River in the 1940s – never imagined that their kids would someday own a log cabin on the same lake we vacationed at as children every summer. Now, 60-plus years later, here we all are! – Kathleen Johnson, Hammond, Ind.

Pontoon the Beautiful
We live on Posey Lake in Hudson, Mich., and every year we have a boat parade for the Fourth of July. This year, my granddaughter, Cassidy, was the Statue of Liberty and kept her balance and her hand in the air the entire trip around the lake – which takes about 45 minutes! – Sue D., Hudson, Mich.

Sleeping on the Job
When my in-laws celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary, we all met at Pokagon State Park for the weekend. One of the highlights was renting a pontoon boat for the day, on which my father-in-law promptly took a nap while the rest of us fished. – Rick George, via e-mail.

One Last Ride
My two nieces, my good friend and I are all teachers who come up to the cabin in mid-October to celebrate our annual girls’ weekend. One of our activities is to take out the pontoon for the last ride of the season. We have been known to dress up in snowmobile suits and go out for a midnight ride too! – Michelle Jorissen, via e-mail.
